Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The successful candidate will assist dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, maintain patient records, and help ensure a positive patient experience.
-Key Responsibilities:
1- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for patient procedures.
2- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
3- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
4- Take and develop dental radiographs (where permitted by certification and regulations).
5- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
6- Record and update patient medical histories and treatment notes.
7- Schedule appointments and assist with administrative duties as needed.
8- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials when necessary.
9- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and privacy regulations.
10- Provide compassionate and professional patient care.
Qualifications:
1- Dental Assistant Certificate or HARP certification.
2- IPAC certification.
3- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
4- Experience in a dental practice is an asset.
5- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control procedures.
6- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records is preferred.
7- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
9- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
10- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
11- Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
