## Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Gas Station Cashier to join our team in Newmarket. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while ensuring smooth daily operations within the convenience store and gas station environment.

Experience with lottery sales (OLG), cash handling, and convenience store operations is considered a strong asset.

## Responsibilities

* Greet customers warmly and assist with purchases efficiently
* Operate POS systems accurately for cash, debit, and credit transactions
* Process fuel pump payments and lottery transactions
* Upsell products and promote store specials when appropriate
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and store shelves
* Restock inventory and organize merchandise displays
* Handle customer questions and concerns professionally
* Perform basic math calculations for transactions and refunds
* Answer phone inquiries using proper phone etiquette
* Follow all safety procedures and store policies

## Qualifications & Skills

* Previous cashier, retail, convenience store, or customer service experience preferred
* Experience with OLG/lottery sales is an asset
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
* Basic math and cash handling skills required
