We’re Hiring – Experienced Site Assistant / Lead Hand

Location: Calgary, AB (Mainly NW)
Hours: Full-Time (38–40 hrs/week)
Wage: $25-28/hr, depending on experience

Who We Are
Varsity Contracting & Renovations is a local, hands-on renovation company specializing in kitchens, basements, additions, garages, and full home remodels. We take pride in being dependable, respectful, and detail-oriented. Most of our work is in lived-in homes, so professionalism and care on site matter as much as the craftsmanship.

The Role
You’ll be working directly with the owner and trades to keep projects running smoothly and jobsites organized. This isn’t just sweeping floors — it’s real support work on full renovations. The right applicant will be running laborers, connecting and scheduling trades, speaking with homeowners and customers, growing their own role into something more !

Main Duties:
Site prep, protection, and cleanup
Demolition, hauling, and basic installs
Light carpentry, drywall, and trim work
Helping organize materials and tools
Supporting trades and jobsite coordination
Communicating respectfully with homeowners
Experience in drywall, framing, minor plumbing, minor electrical, reading drawings and measurements, and material storage are all strong assets.

What We’re Looking For
2 years’ experience in renovations, construction, or trades
Comfortable working in occupied homes
Reliable, respectful, and able to work independently
Understands jobsite safety and sequencing
Has own hand tools (power tools a plus)
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Bonus: local to NW Calgary or looking for long-term growth
