We are inquiring a Carpenter's Assistant to work on various projects on Lake Muskoka. All projects are island work. We meet in Bracebridge so a reliable vehicle is optimal.

Duties include:

-Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment

-Setting up and cleaning up the job site

-Measuring, marking, and cutting materials

-Holding materials in place during installation

-Assisting with framing walls, floors, roofs, and layouts

-installing basic components like trim, doors, blocking, backing, or hardware

-Using hand tools and power tools safely
Carrying lumber, drywall, plywood, and supplies

-Organizing tools, fasteners, and materials so crews don’t lose time

-Reading simple blueprints or following layout instructions

-Helping with demolition and site prep

-Ensuring the site stays safe and hazard-free
Sweeping, debris removal, and end-of-day cleanup

-Running for materials or picking up deliveries when needed

-Assisting other trades when workflow overlaps.
