Burnt Toast Cafe is seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our team. We are a busy, locally owned café serving fresh baked goods, breakfast, brunch, and lunch to the Whitehorse community.
Job Duties:
Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, icings, and frostings according to recipes
Bake breads, buns, muffins, cookies, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods
Ensure consistent quality, appearance, and freshness of products
Monitor baking times and temperatures
Maintain inventory and assist with ordering baking ingredients and supplies
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Clean and maintain baking equipment and work areas
Assist in developing new bakery items and seasonal features
Requirements:
Previous baking experience is an asset
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts
