Youth Support Worker – Casual & Part-Time Positions Available
We are currently seeking 2–3 compassionate, dependable, and dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of youth. These positions will involve supporting youth residing in a licensed foster home and helping to create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can grow and succeed. The ideal candidate will be a positive role model who can build healthy relationships, provide guidance and support, and assist youth in developing important life skills. Successful applicants will be patient, understanding, and able to work effectively with youth who may be experiencing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.
Position Details:
Hiring 2–3 Youth Support Workers
Casual and Part-Time positions available
Daytime and Evening shifts
6, 8, and 12-hour shifts available
Wage: $17.00–$18.00 per hour
Work setting: Licensed Foster Home
Key Responsibilities:
Providing direct support and supervision to youth residing in a licensed foster home
Building positive, supportive relationships with youth and serving as a positive role model
Engaging youth in activities within the home and community
Taking youth on outings and assisting with transportation to appointments, school, recreational activities, and community programs as required
Supporting youth in developing life skills, social skills, and healthy coping strategies
Preparing and serving meals and snacks at appropriate times
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized home environment
Completing household chores, cleaning duties, laundry, and general housekeeping tasks
Assisting youth with daily routines and promoting independence
Completing documentation and communicating important information to the foster parent and team members as required
Qualifications:
Experience working with youth is required
Experience working with children and youth with behavioural, emotional, or mental health challenges is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain professional boundaries
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are considered strong assets
