Part-Time Housekeeper – Private Residence

Location: South End Halifax

Seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper for a long-term position in a private residence.

Schedule: Monday and Thursday mornings, 3.5 hours per shift (7 hours per week total). Additional hours may occasionally be available when the family hosts events or gatherings.

Compensation: $18.50 per hour to start, increasing to $19.00 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Responsibilities include:

* Cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
* Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
* Washing dishes
* Ironing, steaming, and starching clothing
* Polishing shoes and caring for household items
* Collecting and dropping off mail
* General tidying and organization
* Assisting with food service during family gatherings

Requirements:

* Previous experience performing all of the duties listed above.
* Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and organization.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without supervision.
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
* Professional, discreet, and committed to maintaining strict confidentiality in a private household environment.
* Willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
* Ability to commit to the position for a minimum of three years.

Previous experience working in private households, luxury residences, or client-facing hospitality roles is considered an asset.

Training will be provided to ensure the home is maintained according to the family’s specific preferences and standards.
