Location: Scarlett Road & Eglinton Avenue West, Etobicoke, ON
A physically disabled woman who uses a wheelchair is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Female Personal Support Worker/Caregiver to provide one-on-one overnight care in a private home.

Important Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
• Live near the Scarlett Road & Eglinton Avenue West area in Etobicoke. Applicants who live nearby are preferred due to the overnight schedule.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work, as punctual arrival for overnight shifts is essential.
• Be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
• Be willing to provide a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• No agencies, please.
• This is not a cash position.
Schedule
• 12-hour overnight shifts
• 12:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• Every other day
Compensation
$19.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
• Personal care and hygiene
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics
• Dressing and grooming
• Meal preparation and light household assistance as required
• Accompanying the client to medical appointments and shopping trips when needed
• Administering insulin injections (training will be provided if necessary)
• Following care instructions carefully while providing respectful, compassionate, client-centred support
Training will be provided for the client's specific care routines.
Excellent Practical Experience for PSWs
This position offers valuable one-on-one, hands-on experience and is an excellent opportunity for:
• Recent PSW graduates looking to build practical skills and confidence.
• Experienced PSWs seeking meaningful, individualized home care experience.
• Caregivers who want to strengthen their knowledge of client-centred care in a home environment.
You will gain practical experience in:
• Activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Medication support, including insulin administration (training provided)

• Dependable, reliable, and consistently punctual. Reliability and punctuality are of the utmost importance, as the client depends on continuous, uninterrupted care.
• Honest, trustworthy, patient, and compassionate.
• Energetic, flexible, and willing to learn.
• Able to follow directions carefully and work independently.
• An excellent communicator with strong listening skills.
• Physically fit and able to safely perform duties involving bending, squatting, lifting, and twisting while using proper body mechanics.
• Committed to providing respectful, professional, high-quality care.
Overnight Position – Night Owls Preferred
This is an overnight position (12:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.). Applicants must genuinely enjoy and be comfortable working overnight hours.
This position is not suitable for someone who struggles to stay awake overnight or is simply looking to try night shifts. The successful candidate must remain alert, attentive, and responsive throughout the entire shift.
Being a true night person is essential, as the client's safety, comfort, and well-being depend on a caregiver who is awake, focused, dependable, and ready to provide care whenever needed.
Availability for Emergency Coverage
While the regular schedule is every other day, the successful candidate should be willing and reasonably available to provide emergency or short-notice coverage when required, such as when another caregiver is unavailable. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible, and flexibility in these situations is highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications
• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent care giving experience is an asset.
• Valid Ontario driver's license is an asset.
