Sigma GCS-6 acoustic guitar Grand Concert Series

Made in Japan under the auspices of the CF Martin company in approximately 1973. Their design, their oversight, Japanese build. Finished models were shipped to the Martin USA factory for final inspection and adjustment before being released to the market. Notice the Mother of Pearl Sigma emblem in the headstock. This feature was limited to the early releases.

This isn’t quite a baby Martin, but it’s close. Overall length is only one meter making the fretboard far too tight for my big hands.

Mahogany neck, with Rosewood fretboard. Laminated spruce top, with laminated mahogany back and sides yield a beautiful, clear, ringing tone.
The strings are new Martins, and when installed, I’ve changed the bridge pins to brass. The old pins are included, as are one spare set of new strings, and a very basic strap.

The overall condition is very good to excellent USED condition.

Since the photos have been shot, I’ve sourced a perfect fit hard case with grey interior fuzzy lining, which is included.
