PRIVATE REHOME

Our 9 month old golden retriever is a very loved boy. He’s sweet, loving and also anxious and fearful.

We along with a trainer have been working together to increase his confidence and foundation behaviours, however we have made the difficult choice to rehome him.

This dog would do best in a home with
- no children under the age of 18, no exceptions.
- no other dogs or small animals
- someone experienced with positive reinforcement and ethical behaviour modification in the areas of fear, anxiety, resource guarding.
- bite history: when highly stressed or startled, he has redirected onto a person with a level 2 bite on the Dunbar scale, skin contact, no puncture.
- a calm steady home environment with the time and energy to dedicate to improving his confidence and behaviours.
- preference given to those willing to continue working with his existing trainer through the transition.
- family is willing to travel within Ontario to bring him to the right home, further locations may just require a little more coordination.
