Okanagan Videographer/Editor/Collaborater Wanted
Description
Seeking Videographer for Original YouTube Documentary Series
I'm a professional hyperrealism artist based in Kelowna, launching an original YouTube documentary series titled 'The Natural History of Myth' exploring mythology, folklore, and unexplained phenomena of beings told as stories and legends throughout history being dramatically brought to life thru my art.
Each episode blends interviews, research, real locations, and cinematic storytelling, and ends with the reveal of an original hyperrealistic painting inspired by the investigation.
The series is built around my work as the on-camera host and artist. I'm looking for a videographer and editor to join as a key production collaborator, shaping the visual side and helping create something truly original.
The role includes filming, editing, developing a cinematic look, and ideally using or being excited to learn AI creative tools for tasteful visualizations that complement the documentary. Social media content creation is a bonus.
This is initially an unpaid collaboration while we build the series and pursue monetization, grants, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities.
The long-term vision is steady growth: a strong YouTube channel, grants, merch, print and art sales, and eventually international travel. I'm looking for someone reliable, curious, and passionate about storytelling, and comfortable experimenting with new technology.
All adult ages are welcome. Seasoned pros, newcomers, or even retirees looking for an inspiring project. If this sounds like something you'd love to help bring to life, send me a note about yourself and any work samples if you have them.
If you've ever wondered whether the world's oldest legends hold a spark of truth and would love to tell those stories through film and art, I'd love to hear from you.
