"Kobe" 8 year old AQHA gelding standing 16hh. He is up to date on, dewormer, farrier work, dental work and chiro. He loads, ties, baths, clips, and good for catching.
Is bottom in a herd setting. Has a sweet and gently personality.
Kobe has been shown in halter, showmanship, western pleasure, horsemanship and trail. I have ridden him bareback a few times as well. He is easy to handle, good ground manners, and soft mouth.
We showed in the walk/ trot classes last year and he always placed. He was high point walk/trot at one fair and reserve walk/trot at the SQHA show.
Only reason for doing the walk/trot classes was to not push him with recovering from surgery and get my confidence up.
Last fall and this spring we participated in two Jess Dyck clinics. We also took regular lessons with Julia Quibell last year.

Kobe does have a mild case of heaves. He has never had any trouble breathing just a runny nose and a cough from time to time. He can have hay. I find the square bales work better for him than the rounds. In October 2024 he had OCD stifle surgery done. Vet letter available. He was slowly taken back into work with consistent rehab and has never come up lame. He is on a respiratory supplement for his heaves and on a joint supplement for his stifles. Kobe has thin soles so does require front shoes if he is going to be walking on a lot of gravel.
He just finished 30 days with Kayla MacTschetter. He has been getting a lot of outside exposure, trail rides, checking cattle etc.
He needs someone who has a calm personality and with more confidence then I have. He would do well with a confident intermediate rider. I've enjoyed my time with him.
