Renovator Assistant — $20–$24/hour

Full-time, year-round work | Ottawa | Immediate start available

Singhko Design Build Remodel is building a new renovation team based on reliability, clear expectations, quality workmanship and opportunities to advance.

We are looking for a Renovator Assistant with some construction experience who wants to develop broader residential-renovation skills.

You will work alongside experienced renovators on kitchens, bathrooms, basements and larger residential projects. This is more than a general labour position and offers the opportunity to develop into a capable renovator.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, trim and finishing
Preparing and protecting clients’ homes
Organizing tools, materials, vehicles and jobsites
Following daily workscopes and completing assigned tasks
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Taking on greater responsibility as your skills develop
We are looking for someone who:

Has approximately one to two years of construction or renovation experience
Has basic experience with hand tools and power tools
Has a valid Ontario G driver’s licence
Shows up consistently and on time
Listens, communicates and accepts feedback
Works steadily without constant supervision
Respects clients’ homes and takes responsibility for their work
Wants to build a long-term career in renovations
