Truck Driver - Class 1
Description
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our Regional Fleet. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and freight handling, with a focus on professionalism and safety compliance.
Duties:
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
Assist with vehicle repairs or basic automotive troubleshooting when necessary.
Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Ensure proper securing of freight during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
Requirements:
Two years of verifiable experience in Canada & US.
Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety.
Ability to work independently in various weather conditions and environments.
Good communication skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
