Livestock & Feedlot Worker – Sheep, Goats & Cattle
Location: County of Two Hills�Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking individual to join our busy livestock operation. This position involves the daily care and management of sheep, goats, and cattle in a feedlot and ranch setting. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and committed to maintaining high standards of animal care and welfare.
Responsibilities
Daily feeding, watering, and care of sheep, goats, and cattle
Monitor animal health and identify sick, injured, or distressed livestock
Administer treatments and assist with animal health protocols as directed
Handle and move livestock safely and efficiently
Maintain clean and organized pens, feeders, and water systems
Assist with livestock processing, sorting, loading, and unloading
Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery
Complete general ranch and feedlot maintenance tasks
Prioritize daily responsibilities to ensure livestock needs are met
Follow all farm safety and biosecurity procedures
Qualifications
Experience working with livestock, particularly sheep, goats, and cattle
Ability to recognize and assess signs of illness, injury, and poor condition in livestock
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
Valid driver's license required
Assets (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience farming and producing hay crops
Experience operating tractors, skid steers, and other agricultural equipment
Experience hauling livestock or equipment with trucks and trailers
Knowledge of livestock nutrition and feedlot management
Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience
Livestock first aid or animal health experience
