I am looking to hire an Attendant Care/ Personal Support Worker to help me with my daily living activities. The experience is not mandatory but willing to learn as training will be provided. This posting is for 3 part time jobs, one for the morning routine and the other one for souper - dinner routine. For the morning routine, the hours needed are from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday to Friday. For the souper – dinner routine the hours needed are from 5 :00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and the 3rd position includes only weekends, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Morning routine includes Range of Motion exercises, preparing the breakfast, assisting with feeding, drinking, medication and bowel movement routine and catheterization, light housekeeping like dishes, garbage disposal, dusting and vacuuming.
Evening routine includes transfer from wheelchair to bed, bowel movement routine (if needed), catheterization (external one), cleaning and disinfecting the urine bag, meal preparation, feeding, drinking and medication and light housekeeping according with the time left after finishing my routine.
The Weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) routine includes everything for the morning routine but skipping the exercise routine and light housekeeping and doing the shower instead and laundry thereafter. Some extra hours ( 2 or 3 hours every 2 weeks can be given for groceries if you have a car and driver licence).
This is an official job, a T4slip will be issued at the end of the year, CPP, EI and income tax will be deducted at every paycheque, and you have 4% vacation pay offered at every paycheque for 2 weeks’ vacation per year. As part of the salary package, you also have W.S.I.B. coverage. The salary rate range between $22 – 25/h according with your experience, willing to learn my routine and pass the probation period of 3 months or until you grasp my full routine and you can work unsupervised.
Because this job is not a cash one, I would like to mention that only Canadian/permanent residents or immigrants with legal status in Canada and valid open work permit will be hired. Also, a police check certificate screening for vulnerable sector is required and once hired, I can reimburse for the cost. I would like also to mention that this is a smoke free environment, no pets and according with the healthcare industry requirements, no acrylic gel nails is allowed to avoid any skin scratch and prevent infections.
