Construction Painters Supervisor
Wage: 38.50 CAD/hr
40 Hours/week

The selected candidate will perform the following duties:

Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction painters engaged in preparing, priming and painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Assign work tasks, monitor project progress and ensure painting activities are completed according to project specifications, quality standards and deadlines.
Coordinate painting work with other trades, subcontractors and site supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Resolve work-related issues and recommend measures to improve productivity, efficiency and quality of workmanship.
Requisition and maintain inventories of paints, coatings, tools, equipment and other materials required for painting operations.
Train and mentor painters on job duties, surface preparation techniques, application methods, workplace safety procedures and company policies.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes and company quality standards.
Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions and performance evaluations.
Prepare work progress reports, maintain daily site records and communicate project updates to management.
May supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of apprentices, helpers and labourers assisting painting crews.
May manage the day-to-day operations of a painting company or painting division, including project planning, scheduling and resource allocation.

Mandatory requirements:

English language proficiency required.

Completion of a secondary school

At least 3 years of experience in construction painting supervision.
