Department: Dock, Warehouse Operations

Location: Burlington, Ontario

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Workflow

● Freight Management: Direct the strategic loading, unloading, sorting, and staging of freight to optimize trailer space and warehouse space utilization.

● Logistics Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for dispatch and drivers; manage dock door assignments to minimize truck dwell time.

● Process Oversight: Ensure 100% accuracy of shipments by auditing BOLs (Bills of Lading), invoices, and manifests.

Safety & Maintenance

● Compliance: Ensure safety standards are adhered to and that the work environment does not have unsafe conditions.

● Area Organization: Maintain a "tour-ready" environment by overseeing the cleanliness, organization, and total efficiency of the dock area.

● Administrative: Maintain digital and physical records or logs, generating end-of-shift reports as needed.


Candidate Requirements

● Education: High School diploma or equivalent is a must. Relevant college or university education is preferred.

● Experience: Forklift License is must, with at least 3 years of proven track record in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.

● Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), scanners, and computer based programs like Office, Google, and Outlook. Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.

● Soft Skills: High-level problem-solving, decisive communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

● Physical Ability: Comfortable working in varied temperatures and standing/walking for the duration of a shift. Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Shifts starts early in the morning.

Pay: $21/hour
