Even though I have watched the movie about this tragic event in the movie 'Alive', reading word for word from Nando's personal experiences, I was blown away. And although I do not normally do so, I found it almost impossible to put this book down and ended up reading it within a few days. This riveting tale of true-life adventure and revelation brings out countless feelings of dread, sadness, triumph, and love. It is a story of people on the edge of death and the limitless redemptive power that pushed them on to survive.
