We are seeking a reliable Independent Maintenance Contractor to provide weekly onsite maintenance support at a residential co-operative property. This role is approximately 8 hours per week (1 day), with additional hours available as needed.
Responsibilities include minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, property inspections, completing work orders, unit turnover repairs, snow and ice removal, garbage room maintenance, changing light bulbs, inventory management, and assisting the Property Administrator with contractor coordination, pest control, inspections, and maintenance planning.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, experienced in general building maintenance, and committed to safety. Knowledge of WHMIS and WSIB requirements is an asset. Applicants must supply their own basic tools, wear appropriate PPE, and be able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of service. Most of the time you are just killing time on site. Small building so rarely there are work requests.
$20.00/hr cash
