Job description
Ecoland Inc. is hiring one experienced Concrete Finisher for permanent, full-time employment. The successful candidate will work on site at our Caledon location and at various project locations, including Caledon, Brampton, Oakville, Kitchener, Cambridge and Brantford.

Responsibilities
Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
Fill hollows and remove spots from freshly poured concrete.
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
Level concrete surfaces according to grade and depth specifications.
Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and related fixtures.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces.
Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
Spread, compact, level and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, trowels, screeds and floats.

Requirements
Two years to less than three years of related concrete-finishing experience.
No degree, certificate or diploma required.
Ability to safely operate hand and power concrete-finishing tools.
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
Ability to bend, kneel, handle materials and stand for extended periods.
Ability to understand drawings, grades and specifications.
English language required.

Compensation and schedule
$43.58 per hour.
40 hours per week.
Permanent, full-time position.
Day, weekend and overtime work available.
Overtime and vacation pay provided in accordance with Ontario law.
