POSITION SUMMARY
Xpresslink Logistics is a world class asset-based carrier and one of the fastest growing companies with three offices across Canada. We specialize in delivering customer assets, on time and reliability. With the diverse fleet of equipment, we can handle a range of freight, including dedicated loads, specialized hauls, and temperature-controlled goods. We are seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join the dispatch operations team with an entrepreneurial and winning mindset. The position covers various aspects of dispatching including communicating with drivers, customers and customs officials as well as reporting to the company officers.


MAIN DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
 Planning and assigning loads to the long-haul resources and assets
 Dispatch drivers on planned trips
 Communicate with drivers to keep everything on track
 Communicate with outside carriers/customers for securing loads
 Negotiate rates directly with customers and vendors
 Handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
 Manage Customs documents and records
 Knowledge of Loadlink and DAT is required
 Good understanding of USA, Canada, GTA geography
 Build and track freight loads (FTL and LTL)
 Maintain Equipment Records and Maintenance schedule
 Other duties as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
The Logistics Coordinator must know:
 Verifiable experience related to highway dispatch in the transportation industry
 Detail oriented team player with the ability to coordinate and plan with the department peers for effective and efficient dispatch of company resources
 Strong verbal & written communication skills with the ability to actively listen and timely transmission of the information
 Must be able to communicate with drivers and customers diligently and efficiently
 Ability to manage high stress situations calmly and effectively
 Self-starter with good judgment and can proactively manage up where appropriate
