Job Summary

Looking for responsible, caring and reliable individuals, to work in the Lakeview Extended School Day Program in Kinder-Care and After School Program starting in September. Individuals in this position will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. In this role, you will support children's needs through fun activities, playing outside or in the gym or interacting with the children in the classroom. Your positive energy will help foster a sense of community and ensure each child's well-being is prioritized. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while developing valuable skills in caregiving, and child engagement. This is an ideal position for senior high school students or university students thinking of a career in education or working with children.

Responsibilities
• Supervise children during after-school hours from 3:30 - 6:00pm, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Engaging in activities with the children outside, in the gym or in the classroom
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties and tidying up activity areas
• Provide compassionate care to children
• Foster positive behavior through encouragement, guidance, and consistent discipline strategies

Requirements
• Prior experience working with children is highly preferred
• Strong caregiving skills with a caring, patient, and energetic attitude
• Ability to perform light cleaning duties (sweeping, wiping tables etc.) to maintain a safe environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with children, parents, and other staff
