Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Steel Installer/Fabricator with a minimum of three years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and assembling steel structures with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality construction projects, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely completion. Duties

Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation processes
Operate various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG and TIG), plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining tools to shape and assemble steel components
Perform welding tasks with precision, including MIG and TIG welding, ensuring strong and durable joints
Use rigging techniques and operate cranes safely to lift, position, and secure heavy steel structures during installation
Conduct measurements with calipers and other measuring devices to ensure parts meet specifications
Assemble steel components on-site or in the shop using mechanical knowledge, schematics, and assembly instructions
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling materials like ductwork and structural steel
Requirements

Minimum of three years’ experience in steel fabrication or construction-related roles with a focus on structural steel installation
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
Reside in or near North York
Available Full-Time
Have G license and own vehicle
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Expertise in welding techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding
Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, plasma cutters, machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment safely and effectively
Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy steel components using cranes or other lifting devices
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding technical drawings
Experience working with ductwork or similar construction materials is a plus
Knowledge of schematics for assembly instructions is essential
Valid certifications for welding (if applicable), forklift operation, crane operation, or rigging are preferred but not mandatory
Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills; ability to follow safety protocols diligently
