This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make, but we’re looking for the right home for our sweet boy, Nugget.

Nugget is about a year and a half old, neutered, and incredibly affectionate. He loves attention, cuddles, and being close to his people. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day, as he truly loves companionship and being involved in whatever you’re doing.

Nugget is strictly an indoor cat and must remain indoors in his new home.

Unfortunately, since our baby was born, Nugget has developed ongoing litter box issues. He has repeatedly pooped and urinated outside the litter box, including on our baby’s belongings, despite multiple litter boxes, daily cleaning, enzyme cleaners, calming products, and many other attempts to resolve the behavior. Because we have an infant, we can no longer safely manage the situation, and we need to do what’s best for both our family and for Nugget.

We also feel Nugget would do best as the only cat in the home. While he may eventually do well with one feline companion after settling in, he currently spends much of his time chasing and bothering our other cats, and we think he’d be much happier in a home where he doesn’t have to compete with multiple cats for attention.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and we aren’t looking for just anyone—we want to find Nugget a loving, permanent home where he’ll receive the time, patience, and affection he deserves.
