We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will possess experience in automotive repair and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform complex diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and assembly tasks. This role involves working with various tools and schematics to ensure the highest quality standards are met. The Journeyman will play a vital part in maintaining the operational efficiency of our service center, providing exceptional customer service through expert technical skills.

Responsibilities

Perform automotive repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
Conduct mechanical work to repair or assemble vehicle components.
Utilize experience to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively.
Assist in assembly and disassembly of parts during repairs or upgrades.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders and projects.
Experience

Proven experience with automotive repair required.
Must be well tooled.
Strong background in mechanical knowledge, and maintenance work.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics interpretation.
Prior mechanic experience required, with a focus on automotive systems.
Experience working with assembly processes in an automotive or industrial setting.
Welding experience, while not required, would be an asset.
SGI inspection certification would be preferred.
