This is an incredibly difficult post for us to make, but we are looking for the right forever home for our beautiful 8-year-old Doberman Pinscher.

She is spayed, extremely intelligent, affectionate, loyal and protective. Once she bonds with you, she absolutely loves her people and wants to be close to them — she is definitely a clingy girl who loves attention and companionship. ❤️ She has also been very good with our children and has a wonderfully loving side to her personality.

Unfortunately, she had abuse and trauma in her past before coming to us, and because of that, she does have some behavioural challenges that her new owner needs to understand. She can be territorial and has nipped at us on several occasions (never the kids, just the adults), although she has never seriously bitten or attacked us. We want to be completely honest about this because finding the right home for her is much more important to us than simply finding her a home.

Our biggest issue is that her territorial nature is creating an unfair situation for our Lab, and we don't feel it is right for either dog to continue that way.

She would do best with someone who is patient, loving, confident and experienced with Dobermans or large protective breeds, and who understands that a dog with a traumatic past may need additional patience, boundaries and reassurance. A home where she can receive plenty of individual attention would be ideal.

She will come with everything she needs:
• Large dog crate
• Basket of her toys
• Food
• Collar and leash
• Food and water bowls
• Lots of belongings that are familiar to her
We are asking for $800 OBO (we have put more than that into her.. just want to make sure the right fit would be able to financially provide for her) most importantly that she goes into the right home and with people lucky enough to gain her as a family member ❤️
