About the Position
Reporting to the owners and management, the Accounting & Finance candidate will be
responsible for the company's day-to-day accounting activities while providing financial
analysis, budgeting, cash-flow management, and reporting to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and
compliance.
 Handle the day-to-day accounting activities of the company.
 Prepare financial reports and budget-performance analyses for each distribution centre.
 Develop and manage cash-flow forecasts in multiple currencies.
 Monitor financial commitments, banking requirements, and cash positions.
 Manage Letters of Credit and banking documentation with foreign suppliers.
 Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end closing
activities.
 Participate in purchasing activities, supplier negotiations, and financial risk-management
initiatives related to aluminum procurement and foreign exchange.
 Monitor foreign-exchange exposure and assist management with financial planning.
 Respond to inquiries and reporting requirements from government authorities and
regulatory agencies.
 Assist with budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
 Participate in ERP implementation, optimization, and process-improvement initiatives.
 Support research and development (R&D) projects and government grant programs.
Qualifications
 University or college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,
Commerce, or a related discipline.
 Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
 Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution is a strong asset.
 Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, cash-flow management, and cost
accounting.
 Experience dealing with multiple currencies and foreign-exchange transactions.
 Experience managing Letters of Credit with foreign suppliers is a strong asset.
 Experience with Acumatica ERP is considered a significant asset.
 Strong Excel and financial-analysis skills.
 Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
 Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and other
departments.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
