Farm Labourer - Full Time/Permanent

$17.95 per hour

Streef Produce Ltd. is a family-run produce farm growing potatoes, green beans, asparagus and sweet potatoes. We are looking for hardworking and reliable Farm Labourers to join our team!

This is a hands-on position involving both field work and work within our packing facility.

Responsibilities:

Planting and harvesting crops
Washing, grading and sorting produce
Packing produce for shipment
General farm and production duties as required
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Following farm and workplace safety procedures

The ideal candidate is:
Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to perform repetitive tasks and meet production deadlines
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable sitting, standing and walking for extended periods
Detail-oriented with good hand-eye coordination
Willing to work additional hours during busy planting and harvest seasons
Comfortable working in an agricultural environment where schedules can be affected by weather and crop conditions

Schedule:

Typical hours are approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 6 days per week.

Hours may vary depending on the season, weather, harvest conditions and shipping schedules. Additional hours may be required during peak planting and harvest periods.

Skills/requirements:

No degree, certificate or diploma required
No experience required


Basic Benefit Package provided after 9 months of employment.
