MANORCRAFT IS HIRING — JOIN OUR TEAM

ManorCraft Inc. is growing, and we’re looking to add two full-time people to our crew:

1️⃣ LEAD HAND CARPENTER — $28.50–$35.00/hr

We’re looking for an experienced carpenter who can take responsibility on site and help lead a small crew.

Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years of on-site construction/carpentry experience
* Able to read plans and perform jobsite layout
* Able to organize and direct a small crew
* Able to determine material requirements and assist with takeoffs
* Comfortable communicating with other trades, customers and management
* Strong knowledge of residential construction and renovation
* Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle to get to and from work
* Own basic hand tools
* CSA-approved work boots
* Comfortable working from ladders and at heights

2️⃣ CARPENTER’S HELPER / CONSTRUCTION LABOURER — $21.50–$25.00/hr

We’re looking for someone with construction experience who wants to learn, improve their skills and grow with the company.

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of construction or renovation experience
* Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
* Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
* CSA-approved work boots
* Willingness to learn and take direction
* Able to work safely and productively as part of a crew

ABOUT THE WORK

ManorCraft isn’t a one-trade company. Our projects can include:

New construction & custom homes/cottages
Renovations & additions
Framing & carpentry
Windows & doors
Siding & exterior finishing
Decks & outdoor structures
Interior & finish carpentry
Building-envelope and exterior work

Most of our projects are located within approximately 1.5 hours of Peterborough.

These are full-time positions. We typically start on site at 8:00 AM, although some projects require earlier starts. Construction isn’t always an 8-hour day, so applicants should be prepared for longer days when the job requires it.

One-way travel time is paid.

There is room for advancement in both positions. We want people who are interested in becoming better at what they do and taking on more responsibility as the company grows.
