Part-time/Full-Time (35-60hrs) @ employees discretion
Permanent Schedule: Day Shift (Monday–Friday the odd weekend during seeding and harvest)
Pay: Competitive – based on ability and experience
About Silverseed Farms:
We are family owned grain farm, operating for the past 12 years. We currently grow oats, wheat, soybeans, canola, and barley. We use a wide range of machinery from multiple eras; bull dozers, excavators, sprayers, air seeder, large 4wd tractors, combines, etc.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our heavy equipment fleet. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational readiness across our projects. You will work with a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, rock trucks, combines, and other farm related equipment.

What You’ll Do:
Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment
Perform routine maintenance including:
Oil and filter changes
Fluid checks
Component inspections
Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Complete repairs and part replacements as required
Test equipment after repairs to verify safe and proper operation
Support preventative maintenance programs for the fleet
Communicate with parts suppliers and service providers when required
Assist with shop organization and parts inventory coordination
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
What You Bring:
Experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction and/or farm equipment
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Solid understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Physically capable of performing demanding shop work and lifting heavy items
