2002 Dodge Dakota (needs work) (read whole ad)
Description
I have for sale a 2002 Dodge Dakota sport 3.9L V6 2 wheel drive with 232,400 km. The truck runs and drives sort of which will be explained below. The inspection expires end of August and will need some work to pass. I don't have the time to get it ready so I got a new truck instead my loss is your gain. This old truck has lots of life left in it. See below for the good and bad.
Truck starts and runs but after a short period it will start to run rough and will stall when slowing down if don't keep rpms up. When driving on highway it will hitch and jerk and sometimes be fine. (engine code P1391 crankshaft postion sensor).
The good
Low kilometres for it's age (232,400)
Lots of new parts in past couple years, new radiator, new water pump and belt, new plugs, wires, cap and button, new throttle position sensor, new brakes (front) and lines (all), replaced power steering rack (2nd hand), new idle air intake valve. Drive train and underneath seem fine, rockers seem fine. Truck can be registered in 2027 as an antique.
The bad
Has engine codes for 02 sensors (no overly important can replace of leave just affects gas mileage a bit). Engine code P1391 crankshaft position sensor intermittent or loss of signal. A replacement part is $25 on amazon or more at an auto parts store. Truck will need some body work to pass inspection as shown in photos, No air conditioning.
For someone who knows what they are doing and has the time will need a few hundred dollars worth of work to get back on the road.
In good working order truck has a resale value of $4000-$5000 so low ball offers will be ignored and not going to answer a bunch of questions. If you would like to see truck in person respond to ad or call Mel at Digby Deals 902-245-4466.
