The rehoming fee is not about making money from them. It is simply to help ensure that they go to a responsible and committed family who understands the financial and long-term responsibility of caring for two dogs.

This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, and I want to be completely honest about why we are looking for a new home for Tippy and Cashy.

I actually posted them for rehoming before, but I took the post down because I felt guilty and decided to try my best to continue caring for them. Tippy and Cashy are truly part of our family, and giving them up has never been an easy decision.

Previously, my parents-in-law were the ones caring for Tippy and Cashy while my husband and I were at work. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected situation, they had to return to their home country. They also looked into the possibility of bringing Tippy and Cashy back with them, but the process and regulations turned out to be much more difficult than expected.

Since they left, I have continued caring for Tippy and Cashy myself because I love them and truly consider them family. I tried very hard to make it work and hoped that I could continue giving them the life they deserve.

However, after the past few months, I have had to be honest with myself about what I can realistically handle. I work long hours, and my husband works even longer hours. On top of that, I am currently pregnant, and my health, energy, and mental well-being are no longer allowing me to give Tippy and Cashy the same amount of time, attention, and care that they deserve.

I have tried very hard to make it work, and this decision is not because we do not love them. It is because we love them enough to realize that they deserve more time and attention than we are realistically able to give them right now. I don't think it is fair for them to spend so much time waiting for us when they deserve a family that has more time to truly enjoy and care for them.

### About Tippy & Cashy

They are **Maltese–Shih Tzu mixes**, born on **February 5th, 2025**. Only 1 year 5 months old

** Tippy — Male**
Tippy is very affectionate and loves being close to his people. He absolutely loves cuddles and attention and is very friendly and sweet.

** Cashy — Female**
Cashy is a little more shy at first, but she is also independent and very playful. Once she feels comfortable, she loves to play and have fun.

### Both Tippy & Cashy are:

* Spayed/neutered
* Fully vaccinated and kept up to date
* Microchipped
* Crate trained
* Potty trained and house trained
* Quick learners who know common basic commands
* Great with kids
* Friendly with people when outside
* Experienced with boarding and daycare and have lived around other dogs before
* Generally very well-behaved and quiet at home

### A few things they are still working on:

Because they are small dogs, they may bark when unfamiliar people or dogs walk past the house. They may also bark when someone unfamiliar first enters the home, but they usually warm up very quickly, especially with treats.

They are also still working on leash training, as they may sometimes pull while walking. We are currently continuing to work on this with them.

Their recall is very good inside the house, but they still need more training on recall outdoors. Outside, they can sometimes become distracted by their surroundings, so they should be kept on a leash or in a securely fenced area.

They would also benefit from additional training to stay calm when people or other dogs walk past the house or during their walk they might bark at big dog.

Other than that, they are honestly wonderful dogs.

Tippy and Cashy have grown up together and are very bonded, so **our biggest hope is to find a family who can adopt them together**. We are not looking to rush this decision. Finding the right home is much more important to us than anything else.

We will be very careful about who adopts them because we truly want to make sure they are safe, loved, and given the time and attention they deserve.
