Sutom Family Farms is hiring two full-time dairy farm labourers.

JOB DETAILS

• Permanent, full-time employment
• Two vacancies
• $20.00–$24.00 per hour, to be negotiated
• 80–100 hours biweekly
• Early-morning and evening shifts
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Work must be completed on-site in Staffa, Ontario
• Rural dairy-farm environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Milk cows
• Feed and tend dairy cattle
• Handle animals safely
• Monitor animal health
• Identify and treat livestock health issues
• Monitor the calving process
• Prepare clean, dry areas for calving cows
• Maintain livestock performance and health records
• Perform other related dairy-farm duties

REQUIREMENTS

• Language: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: One year to less than two years
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Organized with good attention to detail
• Able to perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable working in a dairy-farm environment that may be dirty

AREA OF SPECIALIZATION

• Dairy cattle
