This sax comes from the legendary SELMER " SUPER" Series production era frequently referred to as a Cigar Cutter.
Serial number 18656.
Highly collectable, exceptionally rare, and possess a uniquely dark, rich & resonate vintage voice that modern horns simply can not replicate.
Manufactured in 1933, finished in original gold lacquer about 90 - 95% intact.
Although in playing condition, will need a full over haul to be in top shape. This sax has had the 2nd. owner for well over 60 years, always professionally maintained.
The owner is a Profession musician whose primary instrument was tenor
It has a few small solder repairs at the neck brace that does not affect playing. Come with the original Selmer mouth piece and case.
