MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE
Capital Automotive Equipment Ltd. is looking to hire 1 experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team.
Applicants must have a valid forklift licence and a minimum of 4 years of forklift operating experience. We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, hardworking, and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment.
Work Schedule
* Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
* Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, when required
* Day shift
Responsibilities
* Safely operate counterbalance and articulating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
* Load and unload trucks, trailers, vans, and shipping containers.
* Move equipment, products, pallets, and materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
* Perform heavy lifting and manual material handling when required.
* Pick, pack, sort, and prepare customer orders.
* Assist with opening containers, crates, and incoming shipments.
* Receive incoming products and verify materials.
* Assist with warehouse inventory and stock organization.
* Complete shipping and receiving paperwork.
* Contact shipping and freight companies to obtain quotes and book deliveries.
* Inspect forklift equipment before use and report any mechanical or safety issues.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and outdoor work area.
* Work with other team members to complete daily warehouse operations.
* Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Minimum 4 years of forklift operating experience – REQUIRED
* Valid Forklift Licence/Certification – REQUIRED
* Experience operating counterbalance forklifts.
* Experience operating articulating forklifts is an asset.
* Strong safety record and safety-conscious attitude.
* Comfortable loading and unloading heavy equipment.
* Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
* Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
* Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset.
* Basic math and inventory-management skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Must be able to reliably commute to Stoney Creek, ON L8E 5P1 or relocate before starting.
