Customer Service: Greet customers, answer product questions, and offer recommendations on beer, wine, and spirits.
Cash Handling: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process cash, debit, and credit card payments, and balance the cash drawer.
Compliance & Safety: Check valid government-issued photo ID for anyone appearing under 25 or 30 years old, and refuse service to intoxicated patrons per provincial regulations.
Stocking & Inventory: Unpack shipments, stock shelves and walk-in coolers, rotate products, and face displays to keep the sales floor tidy.
Store Maintenance: Clean aisles, sweep floors, take out recycling/garbage, and maintain a safe, organized store environment.
Age Requirement: Must be of legal age to sell alcohol in Alberta (18 years old).
Certifications: Completion of Pro Serve Liquor Staff Training (or willingness to obtain).
Skills: Strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and a friendly, reliable attitude.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of stock.
