Support Worker for teenager with ASD
Description
Looking for a special kind of person
I'm looking to hire someone for respite support work with a teenage boy. This isn't a typical care job. It's more like being a trusted older brother figure, someone who shows up with genuine presence and real energy.
Here's who I'm picturing:
️ Active and outdoorsy. Someone who actually goes to the gym, hits the beach, cooks real food, and listens to good music, and who would naturally bring someone along for the ride rather than just supervising from the sidelines.
Into real connection. Someone who can sit with another person and have a genuine conversation, go deep when the moment calls for it, and just vibe when it doesn't. No performance, no clinical distance.
A rock solid nervous system. Calm and steady under pressure. Someone who can co-regulate without absorbing the storm. This matters more than almost anything else.
Familiar with ASD and mental health challenges. Someone who understands dysregulation isn't defiance, and who stays soft and unshaken when things get hard.
Grounded and self-aware. Someone who has done their own inner work, whether through meditation, time in nature, or just genuinely knowing who they are.
Deeply kind and deeply patient. This is non-negotiable.
If this sounds like you, or like someone you know, please reach out at supportworkerlondon@gmail.com. More details shared once we connect. This is sacred work, and I'm looking for the right person for it.
Rate of Pay: $30-$35 per hour
Time Commitment: 20 hours per week
