It has scratches on the screen and the outer plastic shell. IMPORTANT: as you can see in the photos there is tape on a corner of the 3ds. There is a crack in the plastic shell and I put tape over it. You can buy a new plastic shell online for 10 to 20 bucks so this is still a good deal. When you pick it up be careful and don't open the 3ds violently as the tape will give in.
