EVENT SUPPORT STAFF – $20/HOUR – FLEXIBLE EVENT WORK

Toronto & GTA | Flexible / Occasional Contract Work | $20/hour

CanadianEntertainers.ca is expanding our Event Support Team and is looking for reliable, professional individuals interested in flexible event work throughout Toronto and the GTA.

Our Event Support Staff work directly with our clients and their guests and represent CanadianEntertainers.ca at corporate, private, family, school and community events.

We are looking for people who are personable, dependable and comfortable working in a professional guest-facing environment.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE

• Assisting with event setup and teardown
• Helping with interactive activities and event stations
• Assisting with food and refreshment stations
• Serving guests and keeping stations clean, organized and stocked
• Providing friendly and professional guest support
• Following event instructions and assigned responsibilities
• Assisting other event team members as required
• General onsite event support

Training and event-specific instructions may be provided for certain assignments and stations.

FLEXIBLE EVENT WORK

Assignments are offered as upcoming event bookings become available.

You will receive the event date, location, hours and assignment details and can choose whether to accept or decline each opportunity based on your availability.

Opportunities may include weekdays, evenings and weekends.

There are no guaranteed weekly hours.

PAY

$20 per hour.

Paid time is based on the hours assigned for each accepted event booking.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• Events
• Hospitality
• Catering or food service
• Customer service
• Promotions or brand ambassador work
• Guest services
• Other professional client-facing roles

A valid Food Handler Certificate is an asset for certain assignments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Reliable and punctual
• Friendly, professional and presentable
• Comfortable interacting directly with clients and guests
• Strong communication skills
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Able to work independently and as part of an event team
• Comfortable with basic setup, cleanup and light event-related physical duties
• Able to reliably travel to and from the bookings you choose to accept
• Smartphone for event communication when required

A vehicle is not required.

A Police Record Check and/or Vulnerable Sector Check may be required for certain assignments depending on the role, client or venue requirements.

EVENT LOCATIONS

Events may take place throughout Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Newmarket, Aurora, Mississauga, Brampton, Durham Region and surrounding areas.
