Hello!

I’m a woman living with multiple sclerosis (MS) seeking a compassionate and emotionally intelligent individual to join my care team. While previous care or PSW experience is a definite asset, it's not essential; if you're interested in learning, my team and I will provide training!


The ideal candidate has the following attributes:

•You live close by; in Barrie.
•You are have lived some life!
•You are physically strong and comfortable assisting me with transfers (you can safely support someone who weighs around 150 lbs)
•You enjoy cooking healthy meals
•You are naturally good at keeping a house tidy
•You are proactive and a problem solver
•You are looking for meaningful part-time employment!


Bonus points if you love dogs, are a hockey fan, and enjoy action and romance films


You’d be part of a small, supportive team who are all committed to disability justice and to supporting one another. Right now, we are specifically looking for someone who would be able to cover:


•a few regular weekly dinner and into-bed shifts (my assistant can get into specifics when you speak)

• interest in covering vacation shifts when they come up, with advanced notice, and option to accept/decline

• some flexibility in your schedule allowing you to cover some shifts when people are sick with less advance notice, and of course, the option to accept/decline

Compensation is an hourly rate with a minimum amount guaranteed per visit. To be discussed should we determine you may be a good fit!
