Nellie is a 15 hand Palamino mare.

She has been used in our summer horse camp program for the past 3 years. She has ridden in musical rides, ponied horses on the trail, ridden through villages and cow pastures. Has a solid walk/trot/lope, picks up her leads and has a nice stop.

She’s used to cows, dogs, sheep, donkeys, ponies, farm machinery.
-not spooky
-easy to load
-stands for farrier
-very low in the pecking order
-not cinchy
-prefers to walk slower out in the pastures and through her village rides
-had her teeth done in spring
-usually more whoa then go
-good with bareback riding in halter
-has been hauled to trail rides and really enjoys it
-rides out with a group or alone

❎-can be hard to catch on pasture, some days won’t trot away, other days she will trot away from you. Doesn’t go very far if she does. Always comes to grain.
❎-doesn’t like to be dewormed, give it to her in feed
❎-gets anxious if tied/ridden with other horses and they leave her (does not pull back but will paw and whinny)
❎-she bucked twice 3 years ago, no funny business since then.

We have lots of young horses we are focusing on and she will no longer be used. Once shes used to her environment and rider she is very relaxed and calm. Not selling her as a beginner horse. Intermediate and up. She’d make a great trail riding horse! Loves to go out and about.
