Contract Heavy Truck Driver – Full-Time Hours

Storie Media Inc. is looking for a reliable and professional Contract Heavy Truck Driver to operate our mobile LED advertising truck throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

This is a contractor position offering full-time hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating the truck along designated advertising routes, positioning the vehicle at events and stationary advertising locations, and representing Storie Media professionally at all times.

Requirements

* Valid Class 1A or Class 3A driver’s licence preferred or Class 5 with valid experience
* Minimum 3 years of continuous heavy truck driving experience
* Clean driver’s abstract
* Strong understanding of safe commercial vehicle operation
* Comfortable driving in downtown Calgary, high-traffic areas, and confined urban environments
* Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
* Professional attitude and appearance
* Comfortable performing basic daily vehicle inspections and identifying potential mechanical issues

Contractor Requirements

Applicants must operate as an independent contractor and be able to provide:

* Current WCB clearance
* Valid WCB coverage letter
* Any other documentation reasonably required to verify contractor and commercial driving eligibility

Responsibilities

* Operate Storie Media’s LED advertising truck along scheduled routes throughout Calgary
* Follow assigned routes and advertising schedules
* Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
* Maintain accurate driver and operating logs
* Safely park and position the truck for events and stationary advertising
* Monitor the truck and advertising equipment during operation
* Keep the vehicle clean and presentable
* Communicate any vehicle, equipment, route, or safety concerns promptly
* Represent Storie Media professionally with clients, event organizers, and the public

Schedule

Full-time contract hours. Scheduling may include weekdays, evenings, and occasional weekends depending on advertising campaigns and events.
