Welder – Waste Management & Bin Manufacturing
Job Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Welder to join our team at a growing waste management company. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, repairing, and fabricating waste bins, dumpsters, and metal containers while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Weld and fabricate steel waste bins, dumpsters, and metal containers.
• Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques as required.
• Read and interpret basic drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
• Repair damaged or worn bins and containers.
• Cut, grind, fit, and prepare metal components for welding.
• Inspect finished welds and fabricated products for quality and durability.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other shop equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Perform other general fabrication and shop duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with MIG welding and steel fabrication is an asset.
• Ability to use welding machines, grinders, torches, and hand tools.
• Ability to read measurements and work from basic drawings or instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy metal components.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
