Although the price of copper has soared, these five pieces are historical treasures.

Read through the two descriptions for PRICES and condition:
1) The solid copper pitcher, with its unique copper handle, is not only functional but also a beautiful piece of handmade metal ware. The pitcher stands at 6½”H x 4½”W and is covered in a beautiful patina, adding to its charm and collectible value.
Because the pitcher has a matching solid copper handle instead of a wood one, it is a definitive 1932 first-model variant. The "Patent Pend." (Patent Pending) stamp also confirms its production date to 1932. Because the matching copper handle was only produced during the very initial production run before West Bend switched to wooden handles, it carries a distinct premium for collectors.
It has a crisp, legible stamp on the bottom of the base (image 5) that verifies its first-year pedigree.
The solid copper pitcher is in excellent 94 year old shape: handle rivets are securely attached and the copper is dense. A tiny dent is shown in image 4. It has a beautiful, bright aged patina.

2) The four (4) vintage West Bend Aluminum Company Solid Copper ‘Barrel’ Mugs are quite rare and valuable collectible pieces. Crafted from solid copper these 4 mugs feature a unique barrel shape and a stunning gold colour. The “C” style handle made this model unique to other offered styles.
Each measures approximately 3¾”H x 3”D, hold about 15 oz. and are clearly stamped "Solid Copper WB". (image 6). Handles are securely riveted / welded to the body. In excellent 70 year old condition with original patina.
The West Bend solid copper barrel mugs are mid-century vintage drinkware pieces. These "Moscow Mule" style barrel mugs were introduced in the late 1940s – early 1950s as part of the WB’s standalone cocktail barware sets rather than the original 1930s water/juice beverage pitcher sets.
These mugs are wonderfully vintage with rivets firmly attaching the handle to the mug. In very good vintage condition with wear and patina expected with age.

FYI – A Moscow Mule is a classic cocktail traditionally served icy-cold in a copper mug. It was invented in the United States in 1941 and played a massive role in popularizing vodka across North America. John Martin (Smirnoff Vodka) and Jack Morgan (homemade ginger beer) teamed up to combine their slow-selling products. To make the drink stand out, they paired it with a batch of surplus copper mugs. It became an instant hit, and West Bend began mass-producing copper mugs in the late 1940s and 1950s to keep up with the craze. The copper mug has become the drink's signature look.
