Job Description
Anderson Farms is seeking seasonal livestock farm workers/stable hands to perform routine general farm duties related to horse production. This is an entry-level agricultural labour position. No previous farm or horse experience is required. Training will be provided.

Duties
• Clean horse stalls, barns, pens and work areas.
• Remove manure and soiled bedding and replace with clean bedding.
• Feed and water horses according to instructions.
• Assist with routine handling and movement of horses as directed.
• Clean and maintain feeding, watering and other farm equipment.
• Load, unload and move feed, hay, bedding and other farm supplies.
• Perform general cleaning and sanitation of barns and livestock areas.
• Assist with routine maintenance and general farm upkeep.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Assist with other routine livestock and farm duties as directed.

Employment Requirements and Working Conditions
• No previous farm or horse experience required.
• No formal education required.
• Training will be provided.

Applicants must be able to:
• Perform repetitive and physically demanding agricultural tasks for extended periods.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel and crouch for extended periods.
• Lift, carry and move feed, hay bales, straw and other farm materials, including loads weighing more than 25 kg.
• Be available to work additional hours during foaling season when requested and mutually agreed upon.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold and rain.
• Work safely and comfortably around livestock.
• Work early mornings, weekends and holidays as required to meet livestock care schedules.

Hours: Full-time seasonal employment, approximately 40–50 hours per week depending on livestock care and seasonal requirements.

Wage: $17.95 per hour or applicable prevailing agricultural wage at time of employment, whichever is higher.
