Description
IRON Trailers & Equipment MFG INC. is seeking experienced, highly skilled Welder / Welder Fitters to join our team in Ajax, ON. We specialize in custom trailer manufacturing (Steel Dumps, Tinscow trailers, Roll-Off boxes), heavy-duty fleet service, structural steel rebuilds, and custom fabrication.

REQUIREMENTS (NO EXCEPTIONS):
• Certification: Must hold a current, valid CWB Ticket (Canadian Welding Bureau).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with MIG and Stick welding.
• Materials & Positions: Proven proficiency with Aluminum and Stainless Steel in all positions.
• Availability: Ready to start immediately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform structural MIG and Stick welding on trailer bodies, steel dump boxes, roll-off containers, frames, and custom equipment.
• Execute high-quality aluminum welding and structural steel fabrication for heavy-duty fleet repairs and extensions.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, shop drawings, and structural schematics to accurately assemble and fit components.
• Operate shop machinery (plasma cutters, press brakes, ironworkers) alongside hand and power tools to cut, shape, and prep material.
• Measure and inspect dimensions precisely using tape measures, calipers, and squares to ensure proper fitment.
• Assist in safely rigging, hoisting, and positioning heavy steel frames or components using overhead cranes or forklifts.
• Maintain strict adherence to shop safety and quality standards at all times.

PREFERRED ASSETS:
• Strong blueprint reading and assembly layout/fitting skills.
• Background in trailer manufacturing, scrap hauler rebuilding, or heavy equipment fabrication.
• Hands-on experience operating plasma cutters and press brakes.

PAY & DETAILS:
• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Location: Ajax, ON
• Start Date: Immediate
