The Pete Townshend Collection, No. 1, 3, 9. Available now in one lot.


Gibson released the limited-edition Pete Townshend #1, #3, and #9 Les Paul Deluxes (in 2005-2006) to replicate the heavily modified 1976 Les Pauls Townshend used for studio and live work with The Who. These 75-unit, per-model, signature runs recreated specific guitars customized for Townshend with a middle DiMarzio pickup, extra toggle switches, and unique tuning/capo configurations labeled by his tech.


225 units total, 75 of Wine Red #1, 75 of Cherry Sunburst #9, and 75 of Gold Top #3.

These guitars are in collectors grade condition, but please check photos closely.

Gibson manufactured only 225 of these guitars in total, only 75 of each guitar number, representing these iconic guitars, at the time documented and photographed as used by Pete Townsend in the 1970's.
