Banquet Servers – Part-Time / On-Call

Location: 340 Woodlawn Rd W, Guelph, ON

We are looking for friendly, professional, and reliable Banquet Servers to join our growing events team.

Our venue hosts weddings, corporate events, parties, conferences, and other special occasions. This is a part-time/on-call position, with shifts based on our event schedule. Weekend and evening availability is important.

Responsibilities

* Set up tables, chairs, linens, glassware, cutlery, and place settings
* Serve plated meals, buffet meals, appetizers, and beverages
* Clear tables promptly and professionally throughout events
* Refill water, soft drinks, coffee, and tea as required
* Assist with buffet setup and maintenance
* Keep guest and service areas clean and organized
* Assist with event setup and cleanup before and after functions
* Follow instructions from the Banquet Manager/Event Supervisor
* Provide friendly and professional service to all guests
* Work efficiently as part of a team during busy events

Requirements

* Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or serving experience is preferred
* Professional and presentable appearance
* Friendly personality with good customer-service skills
* Able to stand and walk for extended periods
* Able to carry trays, dishes, and other banquet items safely
* Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
* Must be available for **evenings and weekends**
* Smart Serve certification is an asset, especially for events where alcohol is served
