Class 1 / AZ Driver – Local Pickups & Deliveries (Reefer / Automatic)
Location: 700 Rue Talon, Longueuil, QC J4G 1P9
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour (Paid Semi-Monthly)
Schedule: Early Morning Starts (Local – Home Daily)
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Class 1 / AZ Driver to join our team operating out of our Longueuil terminal (700 Rue Talon). In this role, you will handle local freight pickups and deliveries across the Greater Montreal area with early morning start times. Enjoy working with clean, late-model automatic transmission trucks, pulling reefer trailers, and returning home every single night.
Key Responsibilities
Perform local pickups and deliveries across the Greater Montreal region and surrounding areas.
Safely operate late-model automatic tractor-trailers with early morning dispatch times.
Manage refrigerated trailer (reefer) units, including monitoring temperature settings and pre-cooling tasks.
Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (Circle Checks) and log reports accurately.
Ensure proper load securement and verify delivery documents (BOLs, delivery receipts).
Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch and customers. Adhere strictly to all SAAQ / MTO safety rules and road regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Driver’s License: Must have Valid Class 1 Truck license.
Schedule Availability: Must be available for early morning starts and flexible for occasional weekend shifts.
Experience: 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
Reefer Experience: Previous experience operating refrigerated trailers is preferred.
Abstract: Clean driving record and up-to-date SAAQ/MTO abstract.
